The 2012 Florida Retail Masters Class kicked off this year in Tallahassee

This is the first year that the Tallahassee session opened the six month program because of the early meeting of the Florida Legislature. During the three day Retail Masters program, participants will have the opportunity to meet with leaders from Florida’s Executive and Legislative branches, meet with FRF’s Board of Directors and gain an understanding of how the political and legislative process effects retailing.

One of the focuses of the Tallahassee session is how legislative issues impact the retail industry and the importance of grassroots advocacy.  The Retail Road Trip for this session includes a tour of Florida Retail Federation’s offices and Florida’ Capitol with access to the Florida Senate and Florida House of Representatives chambers.  Over the years, Retail Masters have had access to engage with the Governor as well as other elected officials.
