We are excited about the group of Florida retail leaders that has been selected to be a part of the 2012 class (Class VIII) and we have a great, jam-packed session planned for Tallahassee (click here for updated agenda).

We anticipate a terrific Retail Masters experience.  Following are some reminders for you as you prepare to travel to Tallahassee:

  • The location for the session is Hotel Duval (415 N Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL 32301).
  • 2012 will be the first year that Retail Masters has kicked off in Florida's capital city.  This is a great opportunity for Class VIII as much of the meeting will be in conjunction with Florida Retail Federation's Board of Directors meeting and will provide a wonderful opportunity to network with FRF's Board, FRF's Staff and other industry leaders.
  • Attire for the session will range from business casual to business as we will be meeting with industry VIPs and special legislative guests.  The more detailed agenda above outlines which days are business casual and which days are business attire.  The more detailed agenda also includes names of guest speakers as well as specific meeting room names.
  • Registration for the session will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 17.  (Please note that the meeting room forTuesday is tentative on the agenda. When you arrive at the Duval to register, we will have location for that day confirmed.)  Tuesday afternoon will include lunch and a thorough orientation of the Florida Retail Masters program along with an opportunity for you to ask questions related to the program and get to know your fellow class members. Dinner for Tuesday evening is "on your own."  We will provide you with recommendations in the area and we encourage you to use this time to get to know your fellow Retail Masters.
  • Please bring 20 business cards to share with your fellow Retail Masters and the program staff.  Don't forget to bring some extras for the additional networking opportunities.
  • We are planning to visit Florida's Capitol twice.  Please plan to wear comfortable shoes as you will be walking in and around the Capitol.
  • We will adjourn at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.  Please do NOT make travel plans that require you to leave early.  Attendance for the entirety of the program is required.  If you have any concerns regarding your attendance for the Tallahassee session or any other sessions, please let us know as soon as possible.
